A: My real name is Anna Marie. I was given the name Annie by all of my nieces and little kids that I have come across in my life… they call me Aunt Annie so it kind of just stuck with me...
Q: How long have you been making cakes?
A: I started making cakes in February 2013.
Q: Why did you start making cakes?
A: I originally started making the fondant babies that I have pictured and I started doing them because I wanted to make a special baby shower cake for my Sister who was pregnant with her 1st baby. It quickly became a very enjoyable hobby and escalated from there.
Q: Your cakes are really nice, did you have any specialized training?
A: I have never gone to school or had any sort of training for this. I use old family recipes for the cakes and look a lot of stuff up for ideas as far as decorating the cakes.
Q: Why start this blog?
A:I guess we (and I say we because my friend Angel helped me start this) started the blog to talk about what I do and how I came to do it. Maybe people reading this will start to do some of this stuff as a hobby and love it like I do.

Q: Can you make me a cake for tomorrow?
A: Generally I need some time to get the cake together, especially if the cake is detailed or tiered. I take my time with molding or creating my cakes so I can be sure you are getting what you want and are pleased with the finished product. I work full time and do this on the side. However, a plain cake can be turned around fairly quickly so there is a possibility of a 1 day turnaround.
Q: Your creations are pretty nice, are the pictures of your creations doctored in any way?
The pictures are not photo shopped or doctored in anyway. What you see in the picture is exactly what I produced. On occasion the pictures will be cropped due to size.
